Caleb Crook joined the firm as of counsel in 2022. He has developed a broad array of experience in both the private and public sectors. As a private attorney, Mr. Crook has practiced in the areas of real estate transactions, business formation, probate matters, estate planning, oil and gas, civil litigation, and criminal defense. He has also served in a corporate capacity as the Chief Compliance Officer and Deputy Chief Compliance Officer for a multibillion-dollar investment advisor.
In the public arena, Mr. Crook has served as the County Counselor for a rural Kansas County; an examiner, an attorney, and the assistant director of compliance and enforcement for the Office of the Kansas Securities Commissioner; and an attorney for the Office of the Kansas Secretary of State. While holding these positions, he, among other responsibilities, conducted examinations of investment advisers and broker-dealers, reviewed filings to register securities, investigated and prosecuted violations of the Kansas Securities Act, and represented the State of Kansas in Federal litigation regarding elections.
Mr. Crook holds a Bachelor of Science in Business from Emporia State University and a Juris Doctorate from Washburn University School of Law. He is licensed to practice law in Kansas.
